To date he has been recognised for his achievements with many awards including Australia's leading mainstream journalism prize, the Gold Walkley award and the medal of the Australian Academy of Science.As host of Australia's only evidence based health television program Tonic as well as the world's longest running evidence based radio show The Health Report he truly is an expert in delivering critical health information to physicians and patients alike.

GSB's Executive Producer and Director Karen Carey is one of Australia’s leading consumer advocates in health. As a former Chair of Health Consumers Council WA and a current Board Member of Consumers’ Health Forum, Karen is the driving force behind GSB’s commitment to health broadcasting. She has been a chief investigator on many important consumer focused research projects and has chaired expert groups developing key strategic plans and clinical guidelines. Karen’s experience means GSB is able to accurately target programs to the needs of consumers, whilst being strongly aligned to organisational objectives. She specialises in educating consumers to use healthcare systems wisely to improve health outcomes and also on developing a stronger, more efficient healthcare system.

Producer Casey Beros brings a youthful, innovative approach to GSB’s programs. An established health journalist, Casey brings journalistic rigour to the exploration of lifestyle risk factors and behavioural interventions, alternative therapies and complementary medicines. Across both print media and television Casey is establishing a reputation for bringing the fuzzier side of healthcare into a clearer focus.
